Leadership and Public Integrity

Presented on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 09:00A

This interactive workshop is designed for current and emerging law enforcement leaders seeking to strengthen professional standards, reduce civilian complaints, and improve relationships with the communities they serve. Participants will examine leadership principles that promote accountability, sound decision-making, and ethical supervision in modern policing. The session explores the guardian and warrior concepts in law enforcement and how adopting a guardian mindset, supported by strong tactical skills, leads to better outcomes for officers, organizations, and communities. Attendees will discuss policing with compassion, the role of cultural and emotional intelligence, and how organizational culture directly impacts officer behavior and public trust. Through practical examples and guided discussion, the workshop highlights policy alignment, training enhancements, and leadership strategies that reinforce individual and organizational accountability. Participants will also review best practices in investigative techniques and supervisory oversight that help prevent misconduct and reduce the likelihood of civilian complaints. By the conclusion of this session, attendees will leave with actionable tools to improve leadership effectiveness, strengthen investigative practices, and foster trust-based relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
